This is the 21st recording (5th as a leader) of jazz pianist/composer Stefan Karlsson, accompanied by jazz veterans Tom Warrington and Ed Soph. A member of the Eddie Gomez Trio, Karlsson once again strikes out on his own to showcase eight of his own dazzling compositions. The compositions require ensembles ranging from a trio to a sextet; three superb musicians: alto saxophonist Phil Wigfall, tenor saxophonist Marc Solis and trumpeter Rocky Winslow, provide the additional musical forces.
